The Bridget Inspires Grant supports young female triathletes. Bridget Dawson was a world-class triathlete who made a significant impact on the growing sport and was admired by many in the community. The word "inspiring" has been most commonly used to describe Bridget since her passing, and the goal of this grant is to extend her inspiration beyond her achievements and coaching. Bridget raced with grace, confidence, strength, and a quiet fierceness that made her a champion in the sport, as well as a mentor and friend to the entire community. Her drive and vitality will live on through the young women whose athletic goals will be supported from this fund.
In conjunction with the USA Triathlon Foundation, the Bridget Inspires Grant will award $5,000 to young women for the 2023 competition year.

Eligibility criteria for the grant for individuals:
- Female athletes 25 years of age and younger
- Funds may be used to offset cost for young women participating in the sport of triathlon (equipment cost, travel cost, event registration cost, coaching cost)
- Must complete Safe Sport Training
- Special consideration given to athletes/organizations located in the USA Triathlon Western region and the state of Iowa
Eligibility criteria for the grant for organizations:
- Organization must use the funds in programmatic support for young female athletes and programs focused on young female athletes
- Organization lead must complete Safe Sport Training
- Special consideration given to athletes/organizations located in the USA Triathlon Western region and the state of Iowa

By submitting this grant application, you agree to the following:
Acceptance of Grant: The grant to you or your organization from the USA Triathlon Foundation is made solely for the purpose(s) described above. Donation of the grant is made conditional to your acceptance of the terms described herein.
Payment Schedule: The grant will be donated within 90 days after the completion of the USA Triathlon Foundation grant application period.
Terms of the Grant: The funds shall be donated only to the above-named organization or agency or individual and no assignment, transfer or encumbrance in favor of any party shall be recognized. In the event that your grant needs to be re-processed due to incorrect information being received in this application, the administrative cost of $50 associated with re-processing will be deducted from the amount of your initial grant donation
Provisions: In accepting this grant, the grantee accepts the following conditions:
- To use the funds solely for the stated purposes
- To repay any portion of the grant that is not used for the stated purpose
- To maintain program and financial records adequate to verify expenditure and activity related to this grant
- To provide acknowledgement of this gift from the USA Triathlon Foundation and Bridget Inspires
- Recipient must complete SafeSport certification prior to receiving funds
- To follow USA Triathlon and the USA Triathlon Foundation on social media
Include the USA Triathlon Foundation logo on your website as supporter/partner or sponsor, if applicable.
Following the implementation of the funds, submit an impact report on how the funds helped the organization or individual achieve its goals.
