Career: Thomas Lenneberg has been with USA Triathlon since October 2019 and has served as the Executive Director of the USA Triathlon Foundation since April 2022.
He was previously USA Triathlon’s Director of Marketing and Communications and oversaw strategic communications, branding, creative services, digital marketing, social media, and video production for the National Governing Body.
Prior to his time with USA Triathlon, Lenneberg spent nearly eight years with the Arizona State University athletics department, most recently as the Director of the Sun Devil Club Annual Fund. In his fundraising role, Lenneberg oversaw all of the Sun Devil Club’s annual giving programs, which generated an average of $11M and increased Sun Devil Club membership renewal rates for philanthropic donors from 41% in 2016 to 55% in 2018. He also managed the wrestling program’s development efforts, which generated nearly $800,000 in philanthropic donations over three years, including $316K in FY18, then a department record for an Olympic sport.
He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife, Kristen, and son, Elijah.
