Why am I involved with the USA Triathlon Foundation: Growing up, involvement in sports was a year-round endeavor – always trying to find something to stay involved and active.   In high school, I had a cross country/track coach who completely changed my life and outlook through endurance training.   He opened my eyes to the impact that sport and activity (running, specifically) could have on my life.   Not only how it can transform your body, but also how it can open doors and create experiences that can and will (if you let it!) completely reorganize the story that someone writes for their life.   I cannot wait to help create opportunities for anyone and everyone – youth to the elite athlete – to begin to compose their story through the influence of sport, especially endurance sports!

Athletic Background: All through high school I was a three-sport athlete and had the privilege of running collegiately for four years!   Following graduation, I had an opportunity to begin training at the OTC in Colorado Springs with USA Modern Pentathlon.   Following that incredible two year experience, I continued running competitively for a track club in Nebraska, racing in a variety of races across the country including Club Cross Country Nationals and eventually qualifying for the Boston Marathon.
