Role with the USA Triathlon Foundation: Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees

Why are you involved with the USA Triathlon Foundation:  Triathlon has been a source of inspiration, motivation, friendships and fitness for me for many years.  Sports breaks barriers of all kinds, and opens participants' minds to new ideas that create opportunities and achievement in sport and beyond.  I want to help raise the profile of triathlon so that more people can be involved and experience the benefits of this sport.

Athletic Background: I was a team sport athlete from childhood until college - soccer, basketball, softball - with participation in swimming, tennis, golf and other sports.  I was a college swimmer and got into running after college.  Several marathons led me to triathlon, and the rest, as they say, is history.  I have completed over 20 marathons, including 4 Bostons.  I have completed 7 Ironman triathlons and countless half ironmans, Olympic distance and sprint triathlons.  I competed in the 70.3 World Championships in 2017 and have been recognized as an Ironman All World Athlete several times.
